Stress-energy tensor in soluble models of spherically symmetric charged black hole evaporation

چکیده
We study the decay of a near-extremal black hole in AdS2, related to the near-horizon region of (311)-dimensional Reissner-Nordström spacetime, following Fabbri, Navarro, and Navarro-Salas. Back reaction is included in a semiclassical approximation. Calculations of the stress-energy tensor of matter coupled to the physical spacetime for an affine null observer demonstrate that the black hole evaporation proceeds smoothly and the near-extremal black hole evolves back to an extremal ground state, until this approximation breaks down.

Asymptotic Behavior of Spherically Symmetric Marginally Trapped Tubes
We give conditions on a general stress-energy tensor Tαβ in a spherically symmetric black hole spacetime which are sufficient to guarantee that the black hole will contain a (spherically symmetric) marginally trapped tube which is eventually achronal, connected, and asymptotic to the event horizon. Price law decay per se is not required for this asymptotic result, and in this general setting, s...
متن کاملLow-energy scattering of extremal black holes by neutral matter
We investigate the decay of a spherically symmetric near-extremal charged black hole, including back-reaction effects, in the near-horizon region. The nonlocality of the effective action controlling this process allows and also forces us to introduce a complementary set of boundary conditions which permit to determine the asymptotic late time Hawking flux. The evaporation rate goes down exponen...
متن کاملNon-singular Spherically Symmetric Solution in Einstein-scalar-tensor Gravity
A static spherically symmetric metric in Einstein-scalar-tensor gravity theory with a scalar field potential V [φ] is non-singular for all real values of the coordinates. It does not have a black hole event horizon and there is no essential singularity at the origin of coordinates. The weak energy condition ρφ > 0 fails to be satisfied for r . 1.3rS (where rS is the Schwarzschild radius) but th...
متن کاملOn the Bergmann Energy-Momentum Complex of a Charged Regular Black Hole
We use the Bergmann energy-momentum complex to calculate the energy of a charged regular black hole. The energy distribution is the same as we obtained in the Einstein prescription. Also, we get the expression of the energy in the Bergmann prescription for a general spherically symmetric space-time of the Kerr-Schild class.
متن کاملStress tensor from the trace anomaly in Reissner-Nordström spacetimes
The effective action associated with the trace anomaly provides a general algorithm for approximating the expectation value of the stress tensor of conformal matter fields in arbitrary curved spacetimes. In static, spherically symmetric spacetimes, the algorithm involves solving a fourth order linear differential equation in the radial coordinate r for the two scalar auxiliary fields appearing ...
